Founded in 1999, Arius has built upon its
experience in custom front and back office financial service
solutions to design its Open Advantage™ Suite. Arius' enterprise class
software architecture reduces the cost, complexity and time for
integration and deployment by transforming application design
models (UML) into robust, scalable and secure solutions.
Arius clients range from financial services to security
to education, spanning Canada and United States. Arius' unique primary focus is
the creation of superior account opening experiences within wealth management
firms. Arius Software Corporation has proven experience in delivering scalable
and robust solutions to industry specific needs based upon a professional
services methodology that is tailored for each class of solution and further for
each engagement. The balance of streamlining and diligence provides continuity
and coordination in each project from requirements gathering through to
technical support.
Management Team
Adam Zimmer, President and CEO: Adam Zimmer has over 10 years experience in the software
industry including founding in 1995 AZ Internet Designs, which offered total web
solutions. In 1999, seeing a deluge of new opportunities for dynamic programming
on the Internet, he launched Arius Software Corporation. While at NCR, Adam won
second place in a programming competition for creating a web- enabled banking
solution. This experience provided the needed insight for Arius to win its first
enterprise-wide solution in the Financial Services market.
Currently, Adam supplies the long-term vision and financial
management for the company.
Adam holds a B.A.Sc in Computer Engineering
from the University of Waterloo.
Mike Neame, Vice President, Product
Development: Mike's work with Nortel
Networks began while he was a student and concluded with him
becoming the most senior member of his department, where he led the
development of the software testing framework. While at Sybase,
Mike worked extensively with hand held computing devices. This
provided him with background insight for future platforms for
Arius's patent pending ConnectedDB architecture. In 1999, Mike
joined Adam in the founding of Arius Software Corporation. Other prominent
accomplishments include the development of both simplexis.com
Internet and Intranet solutions.
Mike holds a B.Math in Computer Science
from the University of Waterloo.
Gary Baksi, Vice President, Client
Solutions: Gary Baksi has demonstrated
vision, yet proven his affinity for realistic goals and strategies,
in the two successful start-ups he has co-founded and managed since
1983. The first was a cutting edge software firm partnered with the
University of Waterloo, and the second was a control's technology
manufacturer with exports to over 30 countries spanning 5
continents. The results are benchmarked in the June 1995 issue of
Profit Magazine's list of Canada's 100 fastest growing companies.
Comptrol Computer Control Inc. placed 36th for sales growth and
within that group, placed 19th in profitability.
Gary is a Professional Engineer and holds a
B.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering from the University of
Waterloo.
